From that list, there are other lists ranking the top companies by industry, in each major metropolitan area, and by dollar amount. One Step comes up No. 75 in the Top 100 by Metro Region for Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ.
The Inc. 5,000 includes the Inc. 500 but now provides an all-inclusive list of companies that are driving the U.S. economy. The Inc. 5,000 project unleashed more than 70 researchers, reporters, editors and interns to identifyf and profile the 5,000 fastest growing companies in Entrepreneurial America.
According to Inc., "The companies listed are the elite--the mere silver of the seven million or so companies in the U.S. that have employees."
One Step attained a growth rate of 117.9% between 2003 and 2006, and attributes its success to its business model.
